基礎情報
【形態】
高さ約10 m。葉柄は長さ4–8 cm、まばらに毛がある。葉身は長さ8–23 cm、長楕円形～卵形ないし円形、薄い革質、側脈は6–7対ある。花は多数つく。花弁は長楕円形～線形、反り返り、白色。核果は長さ約10 mm、やや扁平な楕円形、鈍く2稜がある。
【生活史】
常緑小高木。

海岸近くの山林に生育。
【分布域】
奄美大島に分布。
